Internationales Projekt "ECO" - European Carrier Orientation
The task of this project group was to facilitate students in their quest of finding a work placement, work experience or first time job in another EU country. The possibilities were numerous but time and limited resources meant that the project concentrated on a number of key areas identified as problem areas. These can be divided into two needs: a need for Knowledge of the Target Country and its Culture, a need for Self Knowledge - Self Analysis.
With this double aim in mind the project team developed a Learning Module which aimed to be flexible, practical and student centred. While the module would ideally be delivered as a whole by teaching staff or accessed on a self learning basis by individual students, it can also be used (with less effect) in a more fragmented fashion, i.e. a student requires a particular piece of information on a particular country and will go directly to that.
The module identifies skills sets which will facilitate the student in his/her preparation and also provides some simulation exercises which are designed to help the thinking process. These can be done in a classroom environment or in an open access environment. Users should feel free to add their own exercises and supplement the online material given their particular situation.
